Dormitory I was opened in 1951 as the first student house in Clausthal. It is situated in the “Alte Münze”, a beautiful, listed building on the Osteröder Straße.

The dormitories I and II are centrally located in Clausthal: A stone's throw away are the student bars “Kellerclub” and “Anno Tobak” as well as the main shopping street Adolph-Roemer-Straße (“Roe”) with all major shops and the main building of the TU.
