Financing options

Study financing mostly consists of mixed financing.

Important sources of income are:

• Maintenance from parents
• BAföG
• Income by means of working
• Scholarships
• Student loans
• State benefits, if applicable

In principle, the obligation to provide oneself also applies to students with disabilities / chronic illnesses: The usual training costs and living expenses must be covered as a rule by your assets or your income or that of your liable dependants.

As an international student, you generally don’t receive any social benefits. Under certain conditions, international students (especially from EU countries) can receive BAföG.
