On our website you will find a lot of information and tips that are relevant for international and German students alike. Therefore, in this section, we would like to refer you only to our counselling facilities, to which you can turn with all kinds of social concerns.
Social counselling
We offer a social counselling at the locations Braunschweig, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Hildesheim and Lüneburg, which is available to you free of charge. If you are enrolled at one of the secondary locations, you can of course also refer to the nearest social counselling service:

If questions and difficulties of a financial, social and personal nature arise during the course of your studies, our social counsellors will be happy to help and advise you. In personal and confidential one-on-one talks, you will receive competent support in decision-making processes and in the development of solutions.
Psychological counselling centres
In everyday life and study it is easy to lose one’s bearings sometimes. Questions such as “Where do I actually stand?”, “Am I doing what I want to do?”, and “How should I go on?”, cannot always be answered that easily on one’s own.
Therefore, we offer you a psychotherapeutic consultation, free and uncomplicated, at the locations Braunschweig, Hildesheim, Lüneburg and Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Experienced psychologists deal individually and appropriately with your specific problem situation and support you in mastering any crisis situations yourself. These may be examination anxiety, work disruption and general study crises, but also identity and orientation problems and loneliness. Even with relationship conflicts, contact problems or psychosomatic complaints you will find support here. Often it will already be helpful if a neutral person listens attentively. And in addition to an open ear and a lot of understanding, our staff can provide you with lots of suggestions and information, e.g. on time management, and further therapy offers.
