Good to know
Who's working at the PBS?
At the counselling centre, a team of psychological psychotherapists, a social education worker and an administrative employee will support you. The counsellors work with different therapeutic procedures.
Who is our offer aimed at?
All students and members of the Braunschweig universities and Ostfalia can contact us free of charge and without a medical referral. We offer individual advice and crisis intervention, after consultation as well couple counselling. You can find information about other group offers here.
How do I book an appointment?
The easiest way is to call the counselling centre or to make an appointment via e-mail. After the initial interview, we will decide together how to proceed. Up to 10 one-on-one interviews can be made within 12 months.
Secrecy
The entire PBS team is of course subject to confidentiality. That means:
- When you visit the counselling centre, the fact that you are doing so will be treated confidentially. If you wish, you can also remain anonymous during consultation.
- Information about your person and the contents of the counselling will not be passed on to other people or institutions – unless you want this yourself and release the employee from the obligation to maintain confidentiality.
